I feel like I should be speechless. This is my favorite chapter, visually. The way your words capture the reader is astonishing. I figured it would be nice to get a chapter in before bed, and damn, I'm glad I did.
Walking through the world-building... that was addicting. Imagining AI creating all those worlds so quickly, and them being real, well, almost real. I even imagined all of the weird little details that didn't match.
I'm probably going to be a little repetitive in my comment, but that's because I had such a good time inside of this chapter. You even threw the video game companies in for good measure. Was that something else you read about?
The swarm was creepy, and I'm not sure where I stand with that yet. Initially, the word swarm is already a bit ominous, but then you throw it into something like this, and it becomes kind of terrifying. I might feel like this right now because of the way you described them sneaking looks at each other, well, comparison.
While I was reading, I was thinking about you having input all of this into your wiki, lol.
I stopped reading to march right down here and as a history guy say how much I enjoy coordinates in actual Jerusalem and the criminals being nailed to stakes rather than crosses.
You do such an excellent job in taking the reader into an AI frame of mind! I'll never look at an IA prompt the same again. 😉
