David, while I use ChatGPT it has always been under the free model. I am just sort of a penny-pincher. Does it limit me? Yes. Am I okay with the restrictions of how much I can do in a certain amount of time. Of course. It actually helps keep me from falling down the well and ignoring the other tasks I should be doing. Given my investment of time and set-up in that platform (I am actually in a pretty good groove there now), I do not plan on shift elsewhere - for now. Still, thanks for the heads up about the political ramifications. If I had been spending my hard-earned money, I too would have pulled the plug on that immediately. I do not support what they are doing.
Great article—fantastic writing—can’t wait to check out some of your stories when I’m not knee deep in my draft. I read about Claude and am taking free tutorials. Will use it for finding loopholes, etc and so much more. But I leave the heart of my writing to me. Glad we’re subscribed to each other!
